Who Hosts The Podcast?
Derek Fredrickson is the founder and CEO of The COO Solution. He spent sixteen years as a COO inside seven- and eight-figure businesses, first in-house and then fractional, before building a firm that places fractional COOs with founder-led companies.
On the podcast, he brings the people who have solved the founder ceiling from every angle: founders who broke through it, CEOs who hired their second-in-command, the COOs who sat in that seat, and thought leaders like Verne Harnish and Cameron Herold on what scaling actually requires. Every episode comes back to the same moment, when a business outgrows the person who built it: approvals queuing behind one inbox, a team waiting on decisions, and what it takes to hand operations to someone else and trust it will get done.

How often do new episodes come out, and how long are they?

A new episode every one to two weeks, usually on Tuesdays. Most run 20 to 30 minutes, short enough for a commute and built around one idea you can act on the same week.
Is it only for founders, or for COOs and operators too?

Both. Founders hear what it takes to hand off operations. COOs, Integrators, and operators hear how the best second-in-command leaders earn trust and run the business day to day. Several guests have sat in that seat themselves.
